Hello,
My name is Kevin Miller and my brother and brother-in-law are thinking of joining a team. We are all around 45 (yes, we have not grown up yet) and we got into airsoft about 3 months ago. We have been playing with a group of friends on 145 acres of private property but my brother and I would like to play more often (addicted) We are looking for a team that is in this for fun and plays it straight. We are a little leery of joining a team that is total milsim but only because (except for my brother in law) we have no military experience. 2 of us did play paintball regularly years ago but never became part of a formal team. We would definitely be willing to learn and have problem working under direction as a team. We both have young families and busy schedules so practicing/ playing every single week is not going to work for us but we sure do want to play more than the once a month we seem to get out there. We are thinking of converting my brother's large old 2 level barn into a CQB arena but right now we are checking into liability issues and insurance. Sue happy people are going to be the death of fun sports.
Anyway, if it seems that we might fit in, please let us know.

Nice to meet you. I think the more you play airsoft the more you'll find a liking to MilSim. I think a good team I can recommend to you is the 131st located in Lititz...They are not milsim yet and I believe they are recruiting. I believe they play once or twice a month at their own fields and other fields in the area. Check them out at lititzairsoft.org.
It's not the Acid attacks. Honor killings. Beheadings. School bombings. Hostage taking. Corrupt checkpoints. Religious violence between factions. Institutionalized corruption. Corporal punishment. Slavery of women. Or even the widely practiced recreational homosexuality. You all can hold hands while you skip down Chaos Lane for all I f*cking care. But when your civilization sucker punches my civilization, I aint gonna leave nothin left of your way of life but a cloud of dust... Ask the Japanese.

TEC airsoft is also an very upcoming team, soon hosting event and we will be full milsim by the end of the year, although we are a younger team at about 15-16 for most of our players we are recruiting and can offer you two a place of leadership by giving you your own squad!, let me know what you think, and if u want more information on us just ask!
Also, we are quite experienced and are looking to get some new people into our sport, as we have alot to offer!

Hope to see you at events.

No military training...that's okay. The majority of airsoft players have none at all. Just listen to the experienced players around you. That's how I learned.

Thanks to all for the welcome. I am going to post here for an invite to extend if anyone is interested. I posted on another milsim site since having some other people to play with when there are no events or other activities is good.

A small group of us (not a team, just friends or people we know), who recently got into airsoft, play on private land in West Chester (30-45 minutes from Lancaster). We are playing this Sunday and if there are a few people who would be interested in playing with us please let me know. You would need to sign a waiver and unfortunately, because I do not really know anyone here, we would ask that you be 18 or older. I guess you could be younger if accompanied by a parent. As of now there is potentially 7 people showing up so a couple more bodies would be nice. We can pull together a scenario on sight and since we are new at this we are willing to entertain ideas. There are 140 acres with pavilions, hills, streams, thick woods and open fields, and some other nice features. Some of the scenarios we have played involve pistol only close quarter combat between pavilions, capture multiple flags in remote locations and other simple things like that. Again, we are new to developing more complicated scenarios and developing strategies needs to come with time and understanding from playing with other more experienced people. Apparently, one of our guys just purchased a sniper rifle and we were going to try something new with a counter sniper unit/ team scenario but we are always open to suggestions.

Although some of us have played paintball in the past and one of us was military, we have not been doing milsim nor have any real experience with it. Our getting together has really been a way of just getting out there and having fun while getting good exercise. The age of people showing up this weekend will vary from I think 17 to old geezers like me who are 45. Anyway, if some people are interested and want to play, let me know and we'll go from there. If I should not even be asking something like this here, let me know and I apologize and will not do it again.

Oh yeah, I did not mentioned the critical part....we are meeting there at 7:00 am and playing until around 3:00. Yes, that is 7:00 am. I know, that is early, but one of us has to work later that day. Please email or pm me if interested.

Thanks,

Kevin
