Airsplat return saga

The bolt broke on my HK416 after about 45 bb's so I had to return it since Airsplat didn't have the part it needed.
I was hoping to have it back by OP BS so I shipped it USPS June 29th.
Right after I shipped it Airsplat moved their location and the post office had to forward it.

That was on July 7th. It took the post office until July 16 to process it and attempt delivery. July 16th is a Saturday!
Airsplat wasn't open. What idiots! They left a notice and brought it back to the post office in Baldwin CA where it sat for 4 days waiting for Airsplat to pick it up. I contacted the post office and asked why they didn't reattempt delivery and they said since it was forwarded it was being held postage due. They wanted me to pay an additional $17 since Airsplat moved!

I said screw that and contacted Airsplat and told them they had over 20 packages waiting postage due since they moved and I asked them what they were going to do about it. Amazingly enough they got back to me and said they were going to pick it up and pay the postage since their move created the problem. Then they told me it would take 7-10 days to process the return and ship me a new gun.

So basically this return process is going to take a total of 5 weeks to get my new gun!
That sucks!

Sorry to read that man.. If you need a weapon for OBS just let me know. I have a few spares and its no trouble to bring one.

Thanks for the offer but I have an Echo 1 Scar AEG and an XK CQB I can use.
If I get desperate I can bring the SAW but I would rather not lug that around in the heat.

I wish I had my Socom Noveske M4 up and running but I screwed up the gearbox when I was trying to fix an FPS issue.
I recently shipped that to an airsoft gunsmith in New Jersey that my bro-in-law uses and its not done yet.
I had around $450 invested in that one and it will probably be another $100 to get it fixed.

I too have dealt with airsplat return. It was much smoother than this though. About 4 or 5 years ago I sent back an ICS AK for repair due to a selector switch problem. I got the gun back in 4 weeks completely repaired.

I wish I could have kept the gun and just shipped the bolt carrier back for a replacement.
It would have been a lot cheaper but they didn't have the part and are probably just going to replace the gun.
Go figure.

Update:
I just found out that Airsplat is out of Black WE HK416's.
They are in customs now but it could be over a month before they clear customs and arrive for shipping to me.
They do have the Tan ones in stock.

I'm not a huge fan of tan but I was thinking I could put on black rail covers that I already have along with a black vertical fore grip. My magazines are black and my red dot is black.
If I bought a black stock as well, it might look kind of cool.

I'm just debating what I want more.
Having the gun to use now or waiting until the middle of September to get the color I want.

Thoughts?

Remember, its a gas gun. By the middle of September you may only have another month or two before the temp drops and so will the compression of the gas. My GBB pistol is almost worthless threw winter.

I have mostly co2 mags so I'm ok there.
I think I'm just going to go with tan.
Like someone else said to me "you can always paint it"!
