Just over 39 minutes ago, shortyUSA released that PolarStar Airsoft just got their VFC M4 bodies to build their highly anticipated PolarStar PR-15 gas blow back rifle. This rifle is like no gbb out there and is the supposed most realistic gbb rifle on the market. VIA Facebook, ShortyUSA also announced that they will be the first dealer in the US to have them. My point of view says I may go check it out when it comes in and I may buy one instead of a Systema Gearbox and a VFC, because of the fact that they use compressed air which you connect to a tube coming from the pistol grip. I can't wait!

I have no idea yet, but they were chronoed today shooting 728 fps with .28s at their max power, but with these you can change the fps and rate of fire, it shot 21 bps also. They also make a DMR and a SAW with the same mechanism but different styles for different purposes. If you watched the video they did say you will be able to buy just the fusion motor which is the same as an AEG Gearbox, for any standard m4 so that's also a plus. The reason I want one is because it uses AEG Mags so you are paying more for the gun but you don't have to pay 40 bucks for a mag

I want to know when one of these comes out as a gearbox thing. I would look at getting another G&G M16 and drop one in and have that be the successor of my current M16.

This just in, you can preorder PolarStar motors and rifles at AmpedAirsoft.com, but there are only 50 motors for their first shipment, so buy quickly, here's the prices

PR-15 Carbine (no rails) $625
PR-15 CQBR $625
PR-15 Tactical Carbine (rails) $680

Fusion Motor alone $425
PR-15 air rig $165, but you can get one that is like a standard paintball tube to tank
PR-15 Air tanks up to $160
Never a failure, Always a lesson.

I emailed the guy that is rebuilding my M4 to see if this would work in it.
It would cost me $700 plus labor to do it.
Tempting!

Scroll down and watch the videos.
40 rps/ 400fps with .26 bb's.
They also do a million round test where they just let it run on auto.
This thing is wicked!
I love the fact that you can adjust the FPS.
I think I need one.

It costs $160 for a tank of their air? Propane would be cheaper. =0

$160 is is for a larger carbon fiber tank canister. You can buy a smaller aluminum for $80.
I think you can just fill it from an air compressor.
In the video it looked like they were running the gun off of an air compressor.

You can refill the nitro cans with a compressor as long as it cranks enough out. 2000-3000 psi compressor would be just fine.
Also you can use scuba tanks to refill at an event. You don't need the octopus but you do need a bleed valve and 1 tank can fill an entire days play for several guys that shoot alot.

Hmm. Seems bitter sweet. Costs a ton, but it could save cash in the long term. It would take at least 7 years at my rate to save on gun costs. Last time I spent anything on my gun was 2008 ha.
