Well my Systema M120 old style gearbox has run somewhere between 50,000 and 52,000 rnds through without a single problem. It has been an awesome gearbox. I decided to replace the piston which was extremely worn as well as the piston head which still looked decent. I dropped a new set of gears in (same ones as before). Everything else looked good. The spring shoots strong still so I'm going to leave that in for a little longer. Then I reoiled it and closed it back up. It shoots nice and crsip still. A very slight change in sounds but other than that I just have some peace of mind.

This wasn't even a repair. Nothing broke ha.

My old systema M150 gearbox was the best I've owned, however it only lasted about 17.5k rounds I estimated. My current M120 style has roughly 2.5k rounds on it since I generally shoot on semi. I've sort of been brand loyal to Systema I'll admit.

You are correct in saying that. I think the M150s don't last as long because of much higher wear. Your M120 will hopefully run much longer. But you do get a ton of performance bonuses in the time that you do run a systema. If you want a very reliable gearbox go with a 290 fps TM. For performance, Systema will not dissapoint. But I have good reliability too so I'm lucky

I wish my first repair job was that easy. Luckily I saved up some money and bought a new gun instead. Had a lot of extra parts, and I almost got the gun working a year later. After thinking about it, all I really need to do is work on shimming better. From what I remember now is that one of the gearboxes I sold to a teammate needed a little shimming work and it was running fine. However now that I live down here in Harrisburg, I don't have the luxury of being able to shoot a gun afterwards to see if it is working or not. That being said, and I hope this isn't too off topic here, but does anyone do work on guns around here?

It is interesting that you bring that up. I know a lot of people know how to do gun work. I haven't seen many services advertised though.

I send mine to a guy in Jersey. Shipping is less than $20 so no big deal.

I trust Systema as a reliable brand as well as a performance brand. I always though reliability was why people got them but yea

My friend Renegede does good work. He lives in Stewartstown, in southern York County. That may be far (don't know where you live), but he does alot of work on guns. I would recommend him to anyone.

@Nova: Skyler wanted me to advertise here, so there ya go...

Yep. I'm happy with how its gone. I think its lasted the life of multiple other gearboxes.
