All I can say is, try the selector position that says semi.
It saves tremendously on the amount of BBs you go through!
My polarstar has 40 ROF but I only use semi auto or fire quick bursts.
I've been 98% semi auto with my M16 for over 3 years now but mostly because of my DMR style, which vegas doesn't happen to share.

But I advocate ammo conservation among my squad in the field.

Oh, so that's what that postion on the selector switch does...

The reason I've been using full auto more than I usually do is because the hopup currently in my gun is done for. I can't hit anything on semi, and I use the full auto to adjust my aim....

...but that'll happen no more. My box of stuff from evike comes in tommorow, and one of the things in it is a new hopup.

Normally I do short bursts when I shoot.

Quality control isn't as good as high grades. TSD high grades are cheap and get the job done. That's what I use.

Overall, crosmans shouldn't do any short term harm to your gun. Maybe after 5 or 6k rounds. cycle some silicone through and that should minimize the damage.
