I've settled in with Airsoft Elite and Excel BBs.

I have used many different brands though, but these two are my favorites.

I usually run 0.25g but I used to shoot 0.30g through my M16 when I had a higher spring.

.20's or .25's are what I mainly use. Sometimes I'll mix in .23's with the .20's or with the .25's if I feel like making my main bb's last longer.

I now run AE BIO bbs. Used to use the G&G BIO bbs but they are getting harder to find. No problems with these AE and with a discount on them I can't go wrong. I'll be picking more up next year when I have a few bucks saved up. I like to run .25g bbs in my guns. I've used TSD, Echo 1, AirsoftGI brands as well, no complaints with any of those either.

I like g and g bbs but the packaging isn't as good as AE and others. There no vents so they may pop open if they get smashed in your gear. It happened to me before.

I have noted this, Nova. I also use .25g. Better wind and brush penetration. Even though my gun shoots 350ish fps with .25, they still go much further than .20g

This is true surfer. Now here's a lecture to debunk the myth that .20g BBs go further all the time because their lighter:

When a BB is fired it has an initial energy. This happens to be kinetic energy which is the energy an object has when it undergoes motion.

The equation for this is KE=(1/2)mv^2

As the BB travels, air resistance reduces the velocity and therefore the energy. Some of the energy is stored as mass can not be destroyed (conservation of mass) until v=0. So, to a point it is a good idea to have a BB with higher mass to conserve more energy as mass. This is why .25g BBs can retain their velocity better and retain the energy needed to penetrate brush.

Moral of the story is that if your gun can handle a heavier BB, it is the better choice. In surfer's case 350 with .25g is appropriate. My gun shoots roughly 360 with .25g's.
