Teams that do not support a "Hi Cap Ban" do not realize that Hi Caps are not aloud at any Major OPS. All Lion Claws OPs, Pine Plains, and other Large Scale National OPs will not allow hi cap mags except box mags for legitimate LMGs (Not an M4 that someone throws a box mag on to make it a LMG). Other Places such as MASC which holds Regional style events (Not as big as LC but between 80 and 120 people) do not allow Hi Caps either with the previous exception. If a player is caught with a Hi Cap and is not an LMG player then they are removed from the AO (Area of Operations aka the field) and told to leave the event with no refund. The cost for National OPs is in the hundreds (Irene IX costs $225 persons just to play that does not include gas, food, lodging, or any other cost such as gear needed for the OP.) So when all is said and done National OPs can cost up into the high hundreds if not thousands to attend an awesome OP.

Teams that dont want to go out and drop 40 dollars for a 10 pack of Midcaps do not take the sport seriously anyways in my opinion. It is not like they are spending 40-50 dollars a Mag and need 10 Mags like some people do. I remember us debating this before and the end result is that in Real life you do not have a mag with 5000 rounds in it. There are no respawns in real life either. So why not play the sport to the best you can and try to make it as real as possible. The reason it allows respawns is to keep the game going so lets make the rest of it as real as we can.

This is not directed at anyone special. If I wanted it directed at someone I would have put an @(Joe Smuckatelly) at the beginning of my post. I just want people to relize that there is more to the sport than just backyard games and a hi cap ban at P98 is moving it closer to being much more realistic plus it gets people ready for events like Irene IX (which by the way was $%#&ing Awesome!!!!!). Have fun and enjoy the sport.

SSD's post is a revisit to some of the fundamental arguments used to pass the regulation and should not come as a surprise. We still stand by our platform with this.

But anyways: LC and them benefit from mag regulation. If they'd legalize hicaps they'd be hurt severely.

I agree with SSD's statement. I was at one point explaining to one team why they should make the change to midcaps. Even after pointing out that national events like LC require midcaps, it seemed they were fine with playing back yard events. That seems to be the main difference between those who enjoy airsoft and those who want to take it step further. One day I would like to attend a national event. I knew that running highcaps wouldn't cut it, and I decided to spend $50 to get 8 midcaps. I am willing to spend money on being more realistic so I can enjoy airsoft beyond backyard games (not that I dislike them, I do it almost every weekend). As we seen before, the majority of the time money isn't an issue with buying midcaps, it's the players mindset.

Is there any way I can help you guys out? I am down in the area but am still not affiliated in any way shape or form with any teams or people here. Are you trying to get more players to come down this way to events/games or actually join or form teams down this way for the future?

With this respect, Nick, all help is appreciated. We have spoken with the Patriot squad and we have some postings on NEPA. Any additional help with growing the community that you could provide would be great.

We're currently looking for event attendees in the short term. Long term wise, having players settle in with ties in the area would be good in the long term scope of things.

If I ever get settled down in this area with a job I'll see if I can't get some more people in. I can also see about getting the Patriots to maybe have another invite day and try to get people from central pa up to NEPA and hopefully vice versa. I would love to come see the field down here and play at any op but every one so far that I've seen has been on a day where I will be back up in NEPA. Maybe starting next year around the middle of January on I can interest my squad to come down for a game if there is any chance of setting up something? I'd really love to set something up like that.

January 1, 2012 : Op: Night Hawk V at P98

We'll be having a March event too.

I'd be willing to go to NEPA between next May and August when I move back to Pennsylvania.

March should be doable. I'll ask the Patriots if they'd be interested in coming down this way. Let me know more info when you have it ready. I'm sure you've got more to plan for the events coming up then one in several months. I'll ask about setting up something for the summer up in NEPA.

Other than the event this month and in January, are there any other games going on in this area, or teams doing any training. I'd love to see some fields and meet the local community down here. I feel so alienated from everything.
