Here's the news: Jake Fromm attemped to take control of the LMA organization in an effort to phase in new leadership and in hopes of injecting new life into an otherwise stagnating organization. Jake was immediately thrown off the team after a "vote" was held on the matter. LMA threw a fit when Polar98 confirmed that Jake Fromm was banned from their events last March just a few weeks ago, however his recent unbanning for reasons of improvement have not helped whatsoever in improving relations between the two organizations. I have heard that LMA operates like a democracy. I'd have to see the numbers on this vote, but if it was unanimous or if the team leader was the only one voting, we can now conclude that LMA is more of a single party organization like Polar98. But clearly in an urgent measure to retain power, leadership touted a quick vote with little discussion. Following this a poll was released which shows Renegade retaining his leadership with a vote. Renegade was quoted on facebook saying "we dont really have a true learder". I agree. Now I think it's time to get some fresh blood in there and see if they'll start making progress again because I have seen nothing but backpedaling and bad decisions this year from there. I'm not an expert on LMA and I'm not trying to be, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that they have a serious problem on their hands and their going to have to move one way or another to solve it and I don't see them doing either. |

Polar98 has been grumbling about unrest over there for quite some time, but we're not too concerned and this should not draw an emergency Christmas break discussion over any actions that P98 could take. The members of LMA are fairly loyal to Renegade. We have the same in my organization. Over here we have an intentionally structured system in order to avoid ever having to deal with infighting. |

Well yes, you guys have nothing to lose over this. You could gain a highly supportive audience of community members from an LMA team that was reformed. And yes, I don't see SSD and Nova having an argument very often on decisions that need to be made. Member of P98 generally all agree and thats why theres no infighting. |

Surfer, we recognize the opportunity from a Polar98 view. We simply do not have very many indicators that they even want reform. If they don't want it, it's not going to happen. At this point we won't endorse anyone, because we don't think any of this is serious enough to amount to any benefit. We'll just have to let it play out and hope they fix it themselves. Polar98 can not in any way usefully intervene in an organization that doesn't want anything to do with us. We will focus our resources on our ongoing projects with FCMS and TS who have the potential to be beneficial to the community. |

Fair enough of an argument. Looking at what has been said and from what I know, I will actually have to agree with you. The situation looks sort of hopeless to me actually. |

So they kick Fromm off the team? They have strongly defended this guy as recent as a few weeks ago and now they just nailed him. This is a bunch of crap. Can we say that anyone who doesn't resign from LMA over this is a pinhead on the next P&P? |

I'd laugh haha. This is probably why vegas and others have remained a strong freelancers. This is exactly what people don't want to deal with. I don't blam P98 for saying "It's not worth our time". |

Well Fromm has been a major pain in the ass from day one, but everyone dealt with it. Yes, they defended Fromm when he got banned, but remember two things: 1. he wasn't trying to take over at the time, and 2. Ramsey also got banned. I believe the fact that they both got banned was the why they defended him. Jake was was getting annoyed with Renegede not coming to LMA skrimishes/events, so he decided to start his own op, which was cool with everyone, but then declared himself new leader. The LMA members who attended were like "Ok, whatever" because everything is decided by the team. Fact: Fromm got banned b/c hetry to seize control of LMA without doing it diplomaticly. Also he actually stated his leave from LMA at the night op I was at (Nova was there too), he even said he burned his LMA patch and some other things like that. Also just read he banned Renegede from his farm. Fact: Polar98 SHOULD NOT intervene at all. Fact: Renegede is pushing for team practices and wants to sign the team up for events during the summer. However, I hope Renegede realizes that a majority of events require midcaps. Also they have lots of rules, which is why he doesn't want to play at P98 ops... ....and yes Surfer that is why I'm still not on anyone's team. I've seen my fair share of teams that either have infighting or just disappear. Edited by vegas, Dec 18 2011, 11:38 PM.

I will confirm that Polar98 will not intervene on this one. There is not a prize to be sought that would be worth the struggles. I can't make any further comments on what Polar98 is thinking on this as we do not want to be a diplomatic factor either at this point. I believe Mr. Fromm announced his official resignation today just before being officially kicked from the organization. Edited by Nova, Dec 18 2011, 11:59 PM.

P98 has no real uniform and gun regulations. If you show up in civillian wear and are playing for the Navy Seals, you'll be frowned upon but you wont get kicked out. There's places where if you don't run a certain gun or certain uniform (like tricolor desert vs tricolor woodland) then you're booted. And then to take it further you can look at Lion Claws and stuff. They're the pinnacle of regulation. --- P98 is a milsim organization. They need regulations if they want to retain their indentity and structure. ________________________________ Now let's all have a hearty laugh and stuff. The dust will settle and we'll be moving forward again. The concerns of us all are justified but we need to avoid dumb stuff in the future. |
