Well my motor is over 40k rounds on it and has lasted longer than your typical 25-30k round motors. (It's an old version Systema magnum)

Should I go with the new systema magnum or is something like a G&P M120 a better deal?

As for other upgrades: I replaced my piston and piston head last year. They have about 4k rounds on them and should continue to last. My gears may need replaced. My spur gear was already replaced and has about 18k rounds on it. I'd replace with some standard systema gears (same ones).

Stuff like the tappet plate and anti reversal are fine and don't really have much wear and tear on them. No need for a new spring guide or anything either. I will re lube my gearbox when I sub in some parts but I'm going to keep running it until something breaks and then order a bunch of stuff for a big tune up.

I've heard from some gearheads that G&P and Systema motors are basically the same. I think it all depends on how much money you wanna spend.

Hmm. The systema has a good reputation with me due to its reliability but also performance. I like my ROF with the 9.6v batt.

I hope this motor will last another op or two. It seems to be slowing down a little and that clearly is an indicator that it needs replaced.

You may only need to clean or replace the motor brushes. That may be worth a look before you drop coin on a new motor.
