NJ is now attempting to reclassify airsoft guns as actual firearms in a new bill. While it is likely that governor Christie would oppose a measure like this by itself; it may get jumbled in with some important other measures and be overlooked.

I don't think it'll pass. Law enforcement officers make up a surprisingly large amount of airsoft players, and I can see a large amount of them stopping it, but I hope for the best.

Well mindless politicians in a liberal state are making the laws, not law enforcement officers. I don't think it will pass either especially if California's didn't pass and they're worse off over there.

Well the Cali. and NJ laws are different. Cali. want airosft and replica guns to be clear or painted brightly. NJ wants them to be declared as actual firearms. Why would they want that? You already have to be 18 to an airsoft gun or bb's, but I'm sure everyone has found a way around that.

The CA law would never pass in NJ right now. CA's was much bigger of a deal. PA is a fairly safe state for airsoft currently.

Not sure what these people have against airsoft. It seems that if they don't approve of it they want regulated.

I heard it's b/c some morons get shot by police because they point an airsoft gun at officers, orange tip or not.

People who play airsoft on school grounds and of course rob stores with them give the rest of us a bad name. Sort of the same deal as what vegas said.
