How important is radio use to you guys? Many teams mandate radios for everyone. Some have no requirements at all. In real life, I don't thtink everyone has a comm, but at least some people do. |

I've seen teams where everyone has a radio, but their use can range from being rarely used to overused. I've seen times when teams have radios but they don't even turn them on. In my opinion, at ops at least one person in a squad should have a radio. I can understand the tactical advantage of having communication with everyone, but it's not necessary for everyone to have one. Usually in ops my use of radios usually involves finding the other team's channel and screwing with them

1 radio per squad is a fine idea. I don't carry a raido usually unless I'm in the role of the squad leader. |

Same, but no one has ever taken the risk of making me a squad leader. |

In my opinion radios are paramount to strategy. We usually split up squads depending on who has a radio. We make sure every squad has at least one radio. I love playing when the entire team has a radio. A smaller team can team can easily beat a larger one when they are in constant contact and can direct each other to the other teams movements. Even if 2 players are withing a few yards of each other they can remain more covert by communicating by radio. You can direct fire and call for support when needed as well. |
