Some of the time it's for good reason (JG's...) and others it's personal preference. Like GBB pistols. Most people will go with either WE or KWA. The folks in this community like their WE's (Socom Gear), while others I play with rather have KWA's. There is little difference between a $150 Socom Gear 1911 and a $150 KWA 1911. The same can go with AEG's. I rather buy a G&P over a VFC, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy a VFC, same as I prefer Ford over Chevy, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Chevy.... |

Everyone on TS must be strongly brand loyal. =] But P98 seems to have widespread support for WE considering the number of WEs on the team. Edited by Nova, Jan 24 2012, 12:54 PM.

My first AEG was a JG M16. That thing took a beating but it lasted a year. Then when I joined up with a team it broke. Bought an Echo1 M16 and after 3 months it broke as well. Ever since that I have been buying used guns. Seems to work out better for me that way. I bought a used G&G last year about this time and haven't had one problem with it. FPS was low but the range on it was great. Now it seems like the FPS increased after I swapped back to my original hop up and barrel. Go figure. I've heard KWA is better for out of box, no upgrades and other companies are better for upgrades. Apparently a lot of KWA parts are proprietary. Internals and some externals too apparently. If I were to get a KWA, it would probably be the SR-12. I don't do internal work anymore, never had good luck with that so I stopped trying. |

Exactly. Some folks are gearheads and buy cheaper guns to fix up and make nicer. I rather buy one and be done with it for two years. |

Yep. I don't like to fool around with my guns a lot. I get them running strong and let them go till they could use some repairs. |

Real Sword is up there with G&P, KWA and VFC from what I heard. |

I have a CA and the stock internals are usually below average in reliability. Must be the China in them. But the externals are nice. I've replaced some key components such as all three gears and the piston/head. It runs pretty smooth right now. |

Yup. Usually CA's and stock internally they suck, but externally they're awesome. My externals I'm keeping as long as possible b/c they durable, they have a 060000-ish serial number and look like they've been in war or two. |
