For those that don't know. Polar98 has been entrusted to have a major voice in these organizations and handle a lot of their communicational work as well. Last summer TS and P98 agreed to a long term plan due to expire on December 20. Last September Polar98 pretty much restructured FCMS and at the end they agree to a pact which is due to expire September 15. Both teams are expected to start debating on whether or not they want to keep or get rid of the agreements. Polar98 has been fairly silent on this.

What do you guys think about the pacts done with Polar98 last year for TS and FCMS? Are they beneficial and are they needed?

I am basing my opinion on what I've seen on these forums, so basically I'm viewing it as an outsider. I had no part what so ever in any pacts. What I saw was that Polar98 kept two teams from spliting up or even causing the members to quit airsoft altogether, which I have seen happen many times. It seems that the teams have strengthen ties internally and with other teams, and I believe that some even recruited some players. Over all it looked like a good beneficial pacts.

I think that some teams do need outside help to stay together, but most of the time seperations will take place so quickly that there is very little time to take action. Some seperations have created a team equal or better to the one spilt from, so that means sometimes out of a seperation 2 teams are now around. It's all circumstancial for each team...

Good insight vegas. I'm not going to spill the beans on my position until these organizations decide to start debating. What I will talk about is what happened with FCMS. They were dealing with internal struggles last summer over what direction to take their team if any direction. Some supported the proposed hi cap ban and uniform regulations (among other measures) and others did not. Leadership at the time who formerly opposed the measures decided to side in favor of the measures and established some measures without consulting the reminder of the organization. Many members got mad and 3 out of the 8 resigned while the remaining members expressed criticism for the way the new rules were gone about. Shortly later Polar98 was tapped for some advice and asked to step in during the heat of the issue. I came up with a compromise plan which would reform the rules passed by delaying them 3 months but allowing them to be upheld, creating a democratic structure allowing for leadership changes via voting every 6 months, and forcing a vote on all future rules to be passed. The 3 members who resigned all returned within the following two months. The organization agreed to a pact deal to help it transition to full health (which it has largely done so) and maintain stability. Currently there are mixed views in their organization about it and most are undecided. I think there are now 9 members on the team but they still need more time to develop into a travel capable organization but they will eventually get there. Whether our pact gets renewed for X amount of time in September or not is really a matter of whether or not whoever is elected as the new leader in a few days supports or opposes the idea come mid summer. The leader gets to pick what issues are talked about. The rest of the team decides to support or oppose.

I support the pacts. I think they help Polar98 advocate for milsim organizational structure and they help spread the scope of influence for P98. I dont think either team should throw them out but by the time discussion starts they may want to change them a bit to keep them as beneficial as possible.

It's going to be a debate later this summer for us. Pete and Jobs are leaned towards being opposed. Greens and I are more supportive. And Snake and Sg333 are the deciding votes as I see it. There will probably be some changes because in order to get a majority there will have to be some common ground found.

FCMS looks like they have a solid base but when they try to branch out they seem a litle shaky and unproductive. The BNP will do nothing but help them in this situation.

I'm pretty sure I'll support a continuation of them. I don't see any issue with the concept.

For the record, I'm planning to vote for a pact extension. I'm open to comprimise but I will not vote for an end to the pact.

There's 6 votes on TS and 8 votes on FCMS. Majority votes needed to pass. Tie votes is a non pass.
