Why is it so hard to find a really nice or unique Area of Operation (AO) or place to play airsoft. I did quite a bit of digging and research to find a suitable place to host the now ill-fated PA Post-Apocalyptical Airsoft event, and I never would have thought how hard it would to be find a place to have a very large event. The kind of place I am talking about has structures, various terrain and a large area. Even with all the sites abandoned by the coal industry in PA, nothing seems to work. I know Lion Claws has events in the types places that I am talking about; the Lace Factory in Scranton where Red Storm East is at and Linfield Industral Park where Northen Light was comes to mind. However, what do you guys think of it. Why is it so hard to find a suitable place. |

Got to get permits from property owners and safety issues keep people from moving forward with plans. The legal system can be blamed in part. |

Money is a big factor also. The more you got the easier it is to grease the wheels. |

@Surfer: Yes making sure that no one gets sued always seems to be a huge hassle. Also a lot of places I saw were contaiminated with all sorts of nasty stuff. @AA: Off course. It makes everything easier. |
