Who all changes their own oil around here? How often? I seem to do it every 3000-3500 miles. Not sure if I'm underdoing it or maybe overdoing it. |

I would but my dad for some reason won't let me. No idea why. But 3000-3500 sounds about right. |

I go 4500-5000 before I change mine, but I have a 21st century car. Lately, auto manufactures have been suggesting 7500 miles for new cars rolling off the line which is amazing.

Depends on how old the car is and what type of oil used. We always badger our customers to get in every 3000 miles. I know that is not really needed. I change my own every 4500 and my truck has 193,000 miles on it. It's a 2003 so its easily new enough for it. |
