So, first off I want to say I don't own a polar star but I have thought about maybe getting one so I've done some research. It won't be anytime soon though because of the price. For the amount of research I've done I would have to be blind to see that non polar star owners think they are unrealistic. Aside from having a tank and air line, what makes them less realistic than an AEG? I personally think the report is much more realistic than an AEGs and since they're known for having good range, that can help improve the realism too.

You can change the ROF on a polar star to that of the real gun. In that way they are more realistic. The tank and stuff is easily offset by all these other things in my opinion. Those bashing on p* are trolling most of the time.

We at least have a couple reasons to support the more realistic side. The less realistic side has one argument which is pretty poor considering AEGS run off a battery and you often have to sacrifice realism accommodate that battery on the gun. I've seen duct tape to rails, etc. Polar stars use small batteries that are pretty much never seen externally.

As surfer said most haters on polarstars are usually trolls or jealous. Anyways for realism, my 2 cents are that they have more realistic range compared to an AEG. Other than that if realism is what is wanted run a GBBR with 30 rd mags. Polarstars are built for perfomance.

I have both a P* and a GBB and have always thought of GBBs as the ideal system. But nothing beats the dependability of my P* and that's why I've made it my primary. The P* is an M16 and fires roughly at real ROF and it is Safe-Semi-3 round.
