Daytona guns were around a long time ago. But they were dominated by AEGs soon enough. But along comes polar star and others that brought back HPA guns to availability. It makes me wonder now that I see the success of HPA guns in the modern airsoft world...why didn't Daytona guns catch on like polar star did? Surely DG has the reliability and performance advantages as well. Were they ahead of their time?

Polar Star had good marketing. They made the right points about their products and it payed off.

But a general question for the audience: Is daytona gun a real company or just a name you call old HPA guns?

For your question, searching google brings up nothing conclusive so I'm starting to guess that it is a generic name, but could be why p* was more successful since they had their own brand to promote.
