Is it an easy drop in to make an ares m4 into a p*? I'm considering doing it when my gearbox finally has something go out. |

It is possible to do. It will either be a no modification or little modification job. The maximum extent of modification would probably be sanding. I think in this case that the most likely scenario is no modification required. |

It's probably easier than my MP5 I'd guess. The only thing I see from on the internet is for more exotic ARES models like the G36 or WA2000. So most likely it won't take much of any modification. |

I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the polar star gear in the spring. It's a plan to keep my m4 running for the long term. |

Have you done this yet? I have a friend that put a fusion engine in an Ares amoeba, well tried. The fusion engine would not properly fit the body w/o trimming excess materials from inside the body. He finally put the original gear box back in it and sold it. But he put the fusion engine in a socom 47 body with better luck. Your M-4 body may be different..

I think I will order the stuff and see if I can get it to fit. If I can't I'll wait and get a similar platform in a brand that will fit with less mods. |
